I’ve been coming here for 10+ years, and unfortunately the quality has really declined. I’m not sure if the constant turnover of sandwich makers is the reason, but the newer employees seem to need more training. My sandwich today was clearly rushed and doused in oil and vinegar. I really miss the older women who used to make the sandwiches—they were consistent, accurate, and much faster. Hopefully management can get the quality and service back where it used to be.

“I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I placed a specific order for a birthday cake that was to read ‘Happy Blessed 38th Birthday, Ruth’ and include pink, black, and purple streamers flowing from the top to the bottom around the entire cake. The cake I received looked nothing like the order I placed. Instead, it had random purple and pink lines and zigzag designs that did not match my request at all. What is most upsetting is not just the mistake itself, but how it was handled. After being a loyal customer for over 25 years, I was only offered a 20% discount for an order that was completely incorrect. I requested a more reasonable resolution due to the extent of the error and was essentially told no, leaving me without a birthday cake for my event. Mistakes happen, but customer service and accountability matter. After over two decades of support, I expected far better treatment and a sincere effort to correct the issue.”

Italian People’s Bakery is hands down one of the best delis around. The bread is always fresh, the deli selection is top quality, and their baked goods are consistently amazing. Everything tastes homemade and authentic. Pricing is fair too, especially considering the quality you get.

1 question: "whatttttt happeneddddd"? Coming from an individual who has been supporting for 27 years! I've noticed the "fall off" within production. The cake designs & taste got worse & worse each time leading to 5-days ago! Its almost as if the cake texture itself is fake as it tastes like "cardboard"! The icing has no flavor! Designs are simply edible paper! There used to be an "awwww" when you heard the cut of tape & that white box popped open, at times; tears attached! Now its like; "huh, this is whay I paid for?" Then the staffing has started to attach to the product as well as individuals who are just there. But im realistic enough to know its more than likely the stresses of the world like any other workforce. Im only one person, but I truly hope this review helps as an opener to turn it back around. Can't speak for other locations but Butler St has fallen off big time!

Great example of a traditional Italian bakery and deli that has also adapted to the neighborhood ethnicity over the years. Know for its fresh baked bread- everything here is solid! Hoagies, bakery, deli and yes - pork roll!
